FAQs
• How many years of experience must I have to travel?
98% of our clients require a minimum of 2 years of experience working in your specialty.
• How long does a travel assignment last?
Typically assignments are 13 weeks, but we’ve seen them last as short as 4 weeks and as long as 52 weeks!
• When can I start traveling?
You can start immediately. Once our application process is complete, you will be considered based on your preferences and skills. A recruiter will reach out to you to offer appropriate healthcare positions and discuss your ideal start date.
• Can I travel with pets or family?
Of course! We encourage you to bring someone along to share the experience with. Please note, only employees of Taurus Staffing Solutions are the responsibility of our agency. You will be financially responsible for your furry or human companions!
• How far from home will I have to be for travel assignments?
The rule of thumb is at least 50 miles from home to qualify for tax free per diems. Some clients will accept a local traveler, but per diems will not be permitted.
• How are per diems determined?
The gsa determines per diems for both lodging and incidentals based on the county worked in. Those rates can be found here: https://www.gsa.gov/travel/plan-book/per-diem-rates
• What happens when my assignment ends?
Approx 4 weeks prior to the end of your current assignment, we talk about new travel opportunities with you. But it is your choice whether you want to extend your assignment (if an extension is offered), take a new assignment, switch to full time, or simply take a break.
